Hillhouse welcomes the venerable Willie Brown, Mayor of San Francisco for two terms, legendary speaker of the California State Assembly and widely regarded as the most influential African-American politicians of the late twentieth century.  Willie L. Brown Jr. has been at the center of California politics, government, and civic life for four decades.  He is an astonishingly candid and entertaining speaker.  Mr. Brown’s recently published book, BASIC BROWN: My Life and Our Times, will be provided to Hillhouse guests.
